ABANDONED KING TIGER part 2

After I finished with assembly I painted the model with primer and then it was time for some pre-shading. After I was statisfied with it I painted entire model with sandy yellow, serving as a base for my camo.  Because Im doing the wreck there is  a lot sratches on the real thing, if we look the reference photo, the tank has a really heavy weathering so I applied the Worn of effect by AK interactive by airbrush so that I can achieve the desired scratches later.( It's the same technique as the one with the hairspray but much easier and more controled.  After 3 coats of WORN EFFECT FLUID I waited a day or two for the thing to dry, then I started working on the camo, first coat is the GREEN FS color.  Second stage of the camo, WOOD BROWN.  Here is how it looks after the painting of the camo patterns. The next step are the scratches(that's why I applied the WORN EFFECT FLUID), making of the winter white camo, the next step is painting small details, painting of

ABANDONED KING TIGER part 1

Started working on the new project'' KING TIGER TANK, by Revell in 1:72 scale'' The general idea is to make an abandoned tank left by the Soviet army after the victory in 1945. Im going to use this photo as the reference, let the fun begins!   The photos are bad because I didn't want to take studio shots at this stage, I will post them right after the primer coat, but here are the few of them what I've done so far. The model is mostly OOB except a few minor modifications made of wire and injection needle.

THE SLEEPING FOKKER

Here are the photos of my latest WW1 aircraft diorama '' Sleeping Fokker''. I build this for a group build''old kits'' on our National forum www.makete.si  . This is the Revell Fokker DV.II in 1:72 scale from the 80s, everything was build from scratch except the figures, I Used mainly the MIG AMMO products to get the desired finish.

PAST PROJECTS

When I started this blog I decided that Im going to post only latest WIP & gallery photos of my models instead of the old ones because I would really like to keep my blog ''fresh'' with my latests projects. But I decided Im going to post a few anyway. British Mk.I''male'' tank, EMHAR 1:72  Autumn talk, 1:72  Fokker Dr.I, Eduard 1:72  Mirage 2000P, Revell 1:72  Sd.kfz.7, Revell 1:72  ''Schlauchboot madness'', 1:72  Imperial Star-destroyer, Revell
My very first post on my blog! The vignette is 1/72 scale with diameter of 6cm. The solider and a dog are from the old pack of Revell figures. The base was made on the old cover of mustard dishes. I love to work with natural elements to achieve the wanted realism, that's why I used real wood, rocks and soil. The house was made from the balsa wood and then covered with a putty. I used AK paints and washes. For the reference photos I used photos from ruined city of Saint Lo in 1944. I am very happy with the result because this was the first time I built the ruins on vignette. Here's the result!
